Day 15

So today we went to church. It was our last Sunday at this church because next Sunday will be Julio's first Sunday preaching to our village. We have been waiting for this for about 3 years now. We cannot wait for him to open up a church on the farm (or camp as I have called it in previous posts) So, anyway, today we went to church. After church we came home, changed, and headed out to Chicimula. It is about a 40 minute drive. We took the Garcias and Kevin (one of the boys in the village) to lunch and a movie. We ate at McDonalds (it was that or Subway and we had Subway last time) and then the family went to see Ice Age and we went to see Transformers 2. We split up like this because Julio told us that Transformers would be in English with Spanish subtitles....not so. It was definitely all in Spanish. Im not sure what it was like in English, but I would not suggest seeing it. I had a nice nap during most of it. After the movies we headed home. We got home at about 8 and I just finished reading my book, "And My Hands Came Away Red" SOOOOO GOOD! Its about the religious violence in Ambon Indonesia. Im thinking about reading it again next week. I have run out of books, so I am borrowing one of Marks seminary books to read next. That's all for today. We are supposed to head to Guatemala City tomorrow to pick up water bottles for one of the crafts during camp, but apparently there is a strike going on in the streets, so it might not be safe for us. If we do go, pray for us. If we dont go we will be at the farm working on the bathrooms some more and ordering screens for the kitchen (right now all kinds of bugs can get in and land on the kid's food while they are eating and we find that unacceptable. Thats all for now. Love you all!
